The full squad is:
Jeff Cook (Captain) – Central North, Troy Goodwin – Newcastle, Tom Groth – Central North, Josh Hazlewood – Central North, Mark Littlewood – Newcastle, Andrew Maher – Newcastle, Joe Mennie – North Coast, Simon Moore – Newcastle, Bill Newell – North Coast, Sam Irvine – North Coast, Nathan Price – Newcastle, Seb Reid – Central Coast, Ben Woolmer – Newcastle. Mark Curry (Coach), Graeme Creighton (Manager) and Mick Ninness (Physiotherapist) will accompany the team to the Barossa Valley.

Newcastle Take Out VB Country Championships |

| In a rain marred event on the Central Coast, Newcastle eclipsed Riverina in a tight final of the VB Country Championships. Batting first, Newcastle totalled a competitive 216 with Simon Moore providing the backbone of the innings with a solid 77, supported by Troy Goodwin with a typically swashbuckling 50. Allen Edis was the pick of the Riverina bowlers with 4-57. After losing 3 early wickets, Riverina consolidated with Mick Delaney (62) and classy skipper Chris Armstrong (56) adding 107 for the 4th wicket. Costly run outs saw Riverina behind the run rate, along with clever bowling from experienced Newcastle leggie Ben Woolmer saw Riverina eventually dismissed for 178. |

Teams Decided for the SCG Country Cup and VB Country Plate Carnivals |

| Following matches on the 16th November, the final 16 teams for the SCG Country Carnival at Bathurst and Orange and the final 8 teams for the VB Country Plate at Cootamundra and Temora have been decided. The respective carnivals will be held from 27-29 December 2008
