DAL PONTE FUTSAL ACADEMY
This
program is coordinate by myself, Gui Costa, Director of Coaching for
Futsal, and I am proud to have created my own methods to coach the
Australian players, which maximises their potential in areas that are
not commonly explored by coaches of different backgrounds. Fun, skill, improvisation, quick thinking, vision, speed and agility are some of the qualities emphasised in our "Brazilian way of coaching""Futebol
de Salão, and the modern FIFA version Futsal, is credited with being an
influencing factor in producing the players of world class Brazilian
teams. Like many Brazilian boys, playing Futsal in schools and in the
streets of Belo Horizonte was the highlight of my youth"
I was born in Brazil and have played Futsal for 7 years at Minas Futsal Club. Minas is one of the strongest Futsal Teams in South America. In Brazil I graduated in Physical Education with major in Futsal. I have coached in Japan for 3 years from 1998 to 2001 and now I have been living in Australia since 2003.
A Futsal Academy offering training and games all year round !!!
Futsal
or Indoor Football has for years been treated as a training game for
football/soccer. Now with FIFA treating it as a proper sport with World
Cups and regular tournaments and with professional leagues throughout
the world, more people are wishing to play it seriously. With Australia
now becoming part of Asian Football even more opportunities will come
up, and for players to take these opportunities they need regular
training. In the history of the game in Australia, the first Australian
to get a professional Futsal contract overseas was Luke Haydon, who has
come through the Dal Ponte Academy.
BEING PART OF THIS PROGRAMME WILL GIVE YOU THIS SAME HEAD START.
We will be aiming to offer aspiring young footballers the best start possible. Futsal has
been credited as being an excellent tool to develop close ball skills.
Futsal is played with minimal physical contact,
which makes it ideal for young players to use their flair and skills.
Players will enjoy an environment that
will encouraged them to try and learn from their mistakes with the
support of qualified coaches to show them ways of progressing. This
approach will encourage players to play the ball in tight areas of the
court and keep possession of it, which is exactly what we Brazilian players do with the ball. Whilst providing a very organised and professional environment in the Academy, I want to make sure that our players feel comfortable enough to learn and to make mistakes during the training sessions, so that when a match situation demands of them skills they will be comfortable with it.

Different Types of Academy Available:
KINDY FUTSAL - For age 3 to
5. The lessons are based on having fun and using activities that encourages coordination, balance, accuracy, cooperation, ball control, passing and kicking the ball.
DAL PONTE FUTSAL ACADEMY - For age 6 to 12. This academy is divided in: Skills program, Intermediate program and Advanced program. Its an ideal start for those who want to excel in this exciting game.
GK SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE - For age 10 to 19. Offered to Goal Keepers that want to specialise in Futsal. This is a must do academy for all GKS that are trying to improve their techniques, reflexes and their fitness.
FUTSAL CAMPS - It takes place 4 times a year during the April, July, September and January school holidays Its ideal for those wanting a intensive training in Futsal, football and beach soccer whilst getting some coaching tips.
EXCHANGE PROGRAMS - We have close relationship with Malwee Futsal Club in Brazil, current Brazilian champions and home of Falcao best Futsal player in the world. Also we have close relationship with Atletico Mineiro Serie A Football Club from Brazil. Every year we send tours to both clubs for the purpose of player's development and talent identification by those clubs. We also send individuals on exchange programs for the period of 3 month or more for playing development purposes.
