The following players will be representing the Australian Vikings on the United Kingdom April/May 2009 Tour, venturing around the globe, training & playing Futsal and experiencing the local culture, sights and people.

Australian DalPonte Vikings UK 'Tour of a Lifetime'
Since 1999, every year Vikings Futsal send boys and girls across the globe to the United Kingdom where they get to enjoy all this fantastic football cultured country has to offer. Visiting locations such as London, Liverpool, Manchester & Norwich and more recently areas of Wales including Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. The tour group gets to experience both the outdoor code of Football and of course plenty of the Futsal that we all love!
The journey doesn't stop there though. You may find yourself travelling the streets of London on a famous Big Red Bus, standing next to the field in Old Trafford or relaxing in traditional old english surroundings just to name a few.
The tour begins with a two day training camp in Brisbane to get everybody aquainted with each other. Then it's off on the flight to begin the adventure overseas.
Beginning with a leg in Conwy (Wales) the tour group experiences the best in UK futsal while there, training and playing against local school and regional club teams that have a newly found passion for Futsal and are constantly developing and growing proving worthy challengers for our Vikings. There is also much to see and do from Conwy as it's within easy reach of North West England making Liverpool and Manchester accessible ports of call.
Highlights of those destinations may be a stadium tour of an English Premier league team which may be either Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton or Manchester City. You'll also be lucky enough to watch one of their games in an atmosphere like no other! You may also find yourself bopping along to the tunes of the most famous music act to leave Britain on the Beatles experience tour and enjoy loads of shopping!
Secondly the group heads to Norwich where the teams have expert coaching sessions at Norwich City FC with UEFA/FA qualified coaches. This also include games against Norwich Centre of Excellence teams. During this time the tour group will also venture into the surrounding areas to play and tour both the Freethorpe (Futsal) & Bungay (Football) areas. There will also be plenty of other local shopping and sightseeing opportunities such as watching a professional Football game at the home of Norwich City, Carrow Rd.
The last two days of the Tour are spent in London to relax, shop and sightsee prior to leaving for home. You'll have a day tour of London on a famous BIG RED open top bus and visit many of the most notable and well known attractions along the way. This is also a great place to finish off some last minute shopping and your last chance to pick up some souveniers for the friends and family back home.
