NSW State Age Championships - Maitland 5 - 7 July 2008.
Congratulations to all of the Penrith teams (including the coaches, managers, primary carers and the fitness trainer) on the results achieved this year. Each of the players worked very hard during the weekend (not to mention in the lead-up) and all contributed to their team’s results. Our 12s finished in 10th position, the 13s in 20th spot, the 14s came in 7th and our 15s finished in 9th place.
The winners and runners-up in the various age groups were: 15 & Under: Sutherland Shire and Manly Warringah; 14&U: Manly Warringah and Sutherland Shire; 13&U: Liverpool and Manly Warringah; 12&U: Manly Warringah and St George.

10 years Development Day The 10 years Development Day will be held on 3 August 2008. Registration will be at 9.30am with the day starting at 10.00am and finishing at about 3.00pm. The cost of the day is $2.00.
Children need to bring a ball if they have one, sunscreen, a hat, morning tea, lunch and plenty of water.
Coaching will be by State League 4 and 8 players and Penrith's rep coaches.
It would be appreciated if team coaches and managers would let anyone eligible know of the day. This day can be of benefit if you are thinking of trialling for the 11s development squad.
State Age and Development Squad Selections for 2009 Selection trials for State Age 2009 (u12s to u15s) and 2009 u11s Development Squad will be held over two weeks - Sunday 10th and 17th of August 2008. Applications are now available via the Library or this link . Please return your application to the Tower no later than 5pm Saturday 2nd August.
Nominations for Club Coach of the Year Nominations for Junior & Senior Club Coach of the Year close on 31 July 2008. Please note that nomination categories DO NOT relate to the teams coached, i.e. junior or senior, but to the age of the coach (18 years and over for senior or 17 years and under for junior). Application forms are available in the library under Standard Forms .
